Today, we’ve got some irritating news for fans of The Clash, and some (probably) irrelevant news for fans of One Direction. The intro to One Direction’s “Live While We’re Young” includes a guitar part that sounds eyebrow-raisingly similar to The Clash’s iconic intro to “Should I Stay Or Should I Go.”

August 15, 2012 | Aaron Zorgel

One Direction continue North American teen-vasion, spreading to SNL
April 9, 2012 | Aaron Zorgel
Brit boyband One Direction hit the Saturday Night Live stage this weekend, hoping to prove that they’re more than just a handsome, floppy-haired flavour of the week. It’s safe to assume that #Directioners accross the globe were begging their parents to let them stay up and watch the five strapping young gents bust out their hits “What Makes You Beautiful” and “One Thing” on the SNL stage, which is notoriously bad for performing on. Did One Direction show that they’re the real deal?
