What Pop Stars Would Look Like If They Were Real People
July 11, 2012 | Aaron Zorgel
Have you ever wondered what pop stars would look like if they were working class, regular folk like you and me? What if they didn’t have the time or money to hire personal trainers, nutritionists, make-up artists, and stylists? What if Fergie never really hit it big with the Black Eyed Peas, and spent the rest of her life as an aging Vegas cocktail waitress?
Why do rappers love Basquiat so much?
July 10, 2012 | Chayne Japal
In the pursuit of freshness, rap artists latch onto trends so they don’t get left behind in the most volatile music genre. As of late, the American neo-expressionist painter Jean-Michel Basquiat has oddly become the go to subject of choice in contemporary hip-hop. If you listen to rap, you have heard his name. Madonna winks at Lady Gaga comparisons by covering “Born This Way” in Israel
May 29, 2012 | Aaron Zorgel
At rehearsals for the MDNA World Tour in Israel on Sunday, Madonna revealed a section of her set list where she seamlessly and shamelessly drops a chorus from “Born This Way” overtop of the music from 1989′s “Express Yourself,” effectively showing Lady Gaga who’s boss. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a smidge worried about Nicki Minaj’s big money cola endorsement. More often than not, the Pepsi-Cola curse results in either a negative impact on the company or on the endorser.
