Flash forward by roughly twenty years, and a rap anthem about the drug trade would put these producers on the map. For The Runners, a chopped up three-word vocal loop changed everything for them: “Everyday I’m hustlin’ / Everyday I’m hustlin / Everyday I’m hustlin’.”
